Each weekend we gather together in this space to spend time with each other and God. You come with coffee or tea in hand and touch me with your presence and sweet words of encouragement. I look forward to our time together and love starting my day knowing you will stop by and visit when you can.

Thanksgiving Day has come and gone and all that is left is a potpourri of memories. I hold tight to all that was knowing it fills the empty places in my heart. But I wrap the memories up leaving room for new ones to form. Before I jump into this next season of busyness, I want to share how grateful I am for all of you. You each are an important part of this online community. I consider you family and I adore family.

A week of family time filled those places in my heart that thrive from time with loved ones. I savor the memories of the past week while looking forward to the next round of holiday gatherings. I try to capture the essence of a full heart to carry with me on those days the absence of loved ones causes emptiness.

The joy of gratitude highlighted on Thanksgiving can either grow or stop dead in its tracks when the holiday is over. I propose we keep it going long after our memories of Thanksgiving have faded. Look for opportunities to bless someone when they least expect it. Give the gift of presence where your only focus is the person sitting across from you. Treasure gratitude like a gift but give it away without expectations so others can unwrap the blessing of caring.

As we countdown to the next holiday, allow yourself time to just be.

Be you

Be with God

And be still.

Enter his gates with thanksgiving;
    go into his courts with praise.
    Give thanks to him and praise his name.Psalm 100:4 NLT
