Welcome back! Thank you for joining me for Part 3 of the Back to School Blues (and Blessings) series of posts. For those of you that have been following along or if you are just joining us now, the key areas that have been shared are: keeping yourself fresh for the start of a new school year by never completely dismissing thoughts of school throughout the summer and preparing yourself physically and mentally for a new school year or new beginning. Here are the links to catch up: Part 1 – click here and Part 2 – click here.
Are you ready spiritually for the start of the new school year?
Today is a chance to encourage all teachers, parents, students and anyone else that is beginning anew in August. Step back, breathe and admire all your hard work. You are ready!!!
1. Ask yourself if you have done your best to prepare for what’s ahead?
Be confident in all you have already accomplished and allow yourself the grace to let go of doing one more thing or comparing yourself to the person next door who you believe has it all together. God has watched over you throughout the preparations and He will continue to provide all you need throughout the next months.
2. Have you given over all your concerns and challenges to God?
As the new school year unfolds, keep your eyes on Jesus! He knows you and your needs and He will turn all into something good.
Romans 8:28
The Message (MSG)
26-28 Meanwhile, the moment we get tired in the waiting, God’s Spirit is right alongside helping us along. If we don’t know how or what to pray, it doesn’t matter. He does our praying in and for us, making prayer out of our wordless sighs, our aching groans. He knows us far better than we know ourselves, knows our pregnant condition, and keeps us present before God. That’s why we can be so sure that every detail in our lives of love for God is worked into something good.
3. Each day is a gift!
Remember that each day God blesses you with is a gift from Him. Thank Him for the new day and honor Him by giving your all to your kiddos (your students or your own children)
4. Be the gift!
No matter what your calling is: parent, student, teacher, business person and whether August marks a new beginning in your year – be the gift! Your approach to each day can be life – giving or life – debilitating. The choice is yours!
Thank you for joining me for the Back to School series. I would love to hear your thoughts and comments!
I am sitting here thanking God and you for your on-going friendship over the years! Although I am a work in progress, I am listening with an open heart and allowing His words and yours to open the door that has been closed in recent months. Thank you, Mary!
Lynne-I love hearing this and know that I’m praying for you everyday.
