It’s Five Minute Friday and I am joining Lisa-Jo Baker and other FMF girls to write flat out for five minutes. No editing, no polishing, and then linking up together. I am loving this challenge! I hope you enjoy it too! Check out what Five Minute Friday is all about here!
HANDS
GO…
A whisper-soft touch
A gentle touch tracing the outline of your face
A wave from across a parking lot
An animated conversation (I can’t talk without them)
The ability to create and nurture your passions
One inside another in an act of friendship or love
Young, old or in between
God’s love – God’s ultimate sacrifice of His Son’s nailed-down hands on a cross gave us the ability to share…
excitement
love
gentleness
comfort
warmth
through the gift of our own two hands! Our expression, our emotions, our passions are displayed for all to see through our hands which tell our story.
Just because we are loved endlessly by a God who chose us to be His child.
STOP
13-14 Meanwhile, we’ve got our hands full continually thanking God for you, our good friends—so loved by God! God picked you out as his from the very start. Think of it: included in God’s original plan of salvation by the bond of faith in the living truth. This is the life of the Spirit he invited you to through the Message we delivered, in which you get in on the glory of our Master, Jesus Christ. 2 Thessalonians 2:13
Our lives lived out for God’s glory all because of two nailed-down hands on a cross that signified that we were saved – salvation to live and share God’s love through our passions, dreams and His ultimate plan.
Let your hands give thanks and praise that you are God’s chosen child whom He adores and cherishes!
Blessings,
Mary
Check out the beautiful Five Minute Friday community and be blessed!
What a beautiful post! So glad I stopped by for a visit!
Blessed you stopped by! I love the connection that we feel when linking up and then visiting with like minds. Weekend blessings!
LOVE this… and you! So glad I stopped by today! 🙂 Have a blessed weekend, my friend!
Awww! You’re making me blush! You encourage me by just showing up here at my humble home!
Yes, you’ve captured that HANDS prompt in such a lovely way, Mary …
Blessed that God teaches me so much in five minutes and then gives me the words to share it on the page. Hope you have a wonderful weekend!
There are so many thoughts that hands evoke, aren’t there? You captured so many of them beautifully. I especially loved what you wrote after you “stopped”- Our lives lived out for God’s glory all because of two nailed-down hands on a cross that signified that we were saved – salvation to live and share God’s love through our passions, dreams and His ultimate plan.
Great post!
Thanks, Becky! I love the challenge of FMF but I love the freedom I feel when I only have to write for five minutes. Many times the words flow together better because God blesses them uniquely and thoughtfully. Have a beautiful weekend!
Stopping by from FMF- I talk with my hands too.:)
Blessed you stopped by! God’s hands wrapped around our hearts so we can tell our story! His sacrifice for each of us-amazing love!
