OPEN
GO…
Open your heart, whispers the voice daily!
Open all that you are to all that I will allow you to be!
Open your everything to all the possibilities that are yours-chosen by me for you! OPEN and be amazed!
The voice has been whispering this daily and the faint sound has become louder as the truth of the words sink in and become part of me. You see I am being asked to open my heart to God and He is promising me that it is good. He desires to work on me from the inside out because my outer shell too often prevents Him from entering.
Open to me as a flower opens to catch the sun’s rays and the first drops of dew. Open all in a complete surrender to a life that is full of the truths that God speaks in His word. Let God share this gift with you today.
This Lent is a time to work from the inside out. It is a time to open my heart to allow God take up residence. It is a heart matter that I will become one with God when I say “yes” and take time.
[Tweet “Opening ourselves to God provides the work of our hearts to become God’s work.”]
Open to the God possibilities and learn how to recreate yourself from the inside out!
STOP
Look, the winter is past,
and the rains are over and gone.
12 The flowers are springing up,
the season of singing birds has come,
and the cooing of turtledoves fills the air. Song of Solomon 2:11-12
Just think of the spring that will enter when we embrace God’s word and truths in our own lives. Open your heart today and let God fill you with all you need! His goodness is everlasting!
Blessings,
I want to remain open but it is hard some days! Thanks for this reminder that God is good and wants to bless me when I am open to what He is teaching me, doing in my life, and calling me to do.
It is so hard Holly to remain open to God and His plan for us. I struggle with it everyday but I know how we honor Him when we freely choose Him in all. Have a blessed weekend!
Hi Mary! Being open is the beginning of holiness, and the filling of grace! I think you are going to be filled with both this Lenten Season.
I just read that Lent means Spring. That was new to me. I really love that idea though. May I always be open to his promptings!
Happy Weekend 🙂
Ceil
I love your words Ceil. Being open is the beginning of holiness and the filling of grace. I am praying that in the opening of my heart and soul I am filled with God beyond all measure. May we all feel His holiness and grace this Lenten season. Happy weekend!
“Sometimes my outer shell is to hard to let Him in…” Yes, sadly I find my outer shell hardens from time to time. Wonderful words to remind me to open myself to all He has for me! Thank you Mary!
May we all open our outer selves to the inner possibilities that God has planned for us. Blessed that you stopped by today. Have a wonderful weekend and hope to see you at The Weekend Brew! 🙂
Lovely, these words, your purpose, Mary. As we open ourselves to His presence, His powerful work gets unleashed.
Now … to obey …
Yes, now to obey! God is calling me to it, the hard work of just spending intentional time with Him. Now I need to shut off, block out and turn inward and let it happen. Blessed as always by your presence here. Happy weekend!
Great reminder that the Son (sun) does come.
Yes He does! So glad you stopped by today Karen! Hope all is well with you!
I loved today’s prompt, “Open.” And I see it struck a chord with you. Thanks for sharing so faithfully what God is doing in your life on this beautiful page. That Song of Songs scripture speaks renewal to me like nothing else. I want to open my heart, my eyes, the door of my life!
Yes, yes, yes! I am at a point in my life that God is calling me to just be “open”. Open to Him, to His word, to His truths! The only way to allow this to unfold is to be intentional in my time with Him so He can work in and on me! Blessed you stopped by. Happy Weekend!
Mary, it sometimes seems so easy to leave it up to God and let Him handle it. Us being mere humans, it is hard to give up complete control. But when we do, we can bask in expectation of the perfect plan for us and patiently wait for it to come to fruition! 🙂
I absolutely love your words of encouragement especially “we can bask in expectation of the perfect plan and patiently wait for it to come to fruition!” Thank you dear Verona for teaching me even more about being open to God. Blessings!
Amen! This: “It is a time to open my heart to allow God take up residence. It is a heart matter that I will become one with God when I say “yes” and take time.” Yes… me, too!
Here’s to lots of heart matters where we open, become vulnerable and follow God as hard as He pursues us. Blessings for a beautiful weekend!
“Open to me as a flower opens to catch the sun’s rays and the first drops of dew.”
Beautiful.
Thank you Donna! I love God’s words and how He loves to share them with others through people like us. It is my passion. Have a blessed weekend!
I”m so thankful that God gets in there, deep inside where it counts. He is always a gentleman and never forces Himself on anyone, but at the same time my crusty shell doesn’t deter Him. He just keeps coming!
God relentlessly pursues us and we many times keep running the other direction. How awesome to know that we can just be still and open ourselves to all He has to give and it will all be good! Amen! Have a blessed weekend!
It’s hard to remain open to full surrender, especially when we don’t have all the answers. But sometimes that exactly when we need to be open to everything God has for us!
I am finding this is exactly where I need to be in this season of my life. It is only in the opening of myself to all possibilities that I will know what God has planned for me next. SO glad you stopped by and so fun to chat with you tonight.
Amen! His goodness IS everlasting! I love spring (ok, I love all of the seasons for different reasons) because I see so many signs of his love and provision–the insects return, just in time for the birds. The birds return with their joyous songs, just in time to lift the spirits of winter-weary people. Everything, in his time.
Everything in His time are words that I need to have on repeat. God’s goodness is everlasting and is just what we need. Let us all open our hearts to receiving the goodness of the Lord to day and everyday. Happy Weekend!
