“Noel”
Love incarnate, love divine
Star and angels gave the sign
Bow to babe on bended knee
The Savior of humanity
Unto us a Child is born
He shall reign forevermore
Noel, Noel
Come and see what God has done
Noel, Noel
The story of amazing love!
The light of the world, given for us
Noel
Son of God and Son of man
There before the world began
Born to suffer, born to save
Born to raise us from the grave
Christ the everlasting Lord
He shall reign forevermore
Noel, Noel
Come and see what God has done
Noel, Noel
The story of amazing love!
The light of the world, given for us
Noel
Noel – the story of amazing love is my story too. We all have our own stories of amazing love. Mine began in the early days of a cold February, with typical cloudless skies of gray and white puffs leaving a streak every time someone exhaled. I was encircled by the love of two parents and two brothers who preceded me in birth. I was safe, secure, loved and thriving.
But what if that story of love was just touching the surface of possibilities? What if the love we knew could multiply when joined with another love? What if amazing love was magnified one Christmas morn several thousand years ago? What would our stories tell us then?
The amazing story of love is how God sent His son Jesus into the world to show us love in action.
For to us a child is born,
to us a son is given,
and the government will be on his shoulders.
And he will be called
Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God,
Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace. Isaiah 9:6
[Tweet “The story of amazing love is the birth of a new creation wrapped in swaddling clothes. #Advent”]
A babe born in a most unusual place awoke the world to new hope, greater love and a steady heartbeat of grace and new mercies. The world was fully exposed to a new creation that sung of new life wrapped in swaddling clothes. The old is gone and the new has taken its place.
Noel – the story of amazing love is God’s voice shouting louder than the world’s hurts. It is the gift of peace displayed through the extension of kindness and love to others. It is God’s invitation this Christmas to join Him in the story of amazing love.
May we all seek God fully and invite Him to be our greatest gift of love today and everyday.
In grace and peace,
Mary

Do you know where I can purchase this as sheet music?
Hi Diana! I would just Google it and see what comes up. Maybe you can get the music that way. Have a great day!
Love is an incredible gift! Laura’s last words “Tell those you love that you love them and know that you are loved” has sustained me in these last weeks after her death. I love that Lauren Daigle/Chris Tomlin song/video!
Noel is my new favorite Christmas song. The words speak to me and I know they are speaking to others too. Thank you for sharing those words from your friend, Laura. We all need to hear those words and remember the simple lesson that she was teaching. Thank you for being here today.
Yes, the Light of the world is our greatest gift. May we receive His amazing love with an open heart, and then shine it on others. Merry Christmas!
Amen! Thank you for being here and blessing me with your encouragement!
I love this song, Mary. I’ve never heard it before. I just listened to it twice. 🙂 The lyrics really touch my heart. It’s like God is inviting us to come and see what He has done for us. May our hearts open to the most beautiful story of amazing love!
Amen! I also want my heart to open to the most amazing story of love each and everyday. I have been singing this song loudly everyday around my house. I love it! Thank you for being here! Glad you have a new song that you love!!!
I haven’t heard this song yet, but I love, love, love Lauren Daigle! Her CD is my constant music companion. Listening to the song now. Beautiful. Thanks for sharing this, Mary!
So glad you love my new favorite Christmas song. The words speak so clearly to me of Christmas and Jesus’ birth. I admit I have been playing it on repeat. Love having you here, Lisa! Hope your week is blessed!
Thanks for sharing this beauty of a carol, Mary. Calming me, focusing me, hope giving. What a way to start the week …
I say yes, yes, to moving ahead to see what God has done and is doing, our precious Light of the world.

Mary,
Our tiny, minute minds can’t even begin to comprehend the lavishness of His love. This Love that came to suffer and to save. Joining my story with His story so that the knowledge of His saving grace and love may grow. Thanks for the encouragement!!
Blessings,
Bev xx
I love that you are joining your story with His story. We truly cannot even comprehend the gift of His love that He so willingly shared with all of us. May we all unwrap the greatest gift of Jesus in our own lives. Hugs, friend!
No wonder the story of Jesus birth captures our hearts every year! Blessings, Mary!
Yes!!! Hope you listened to the song because it speaks so loudly to me this season. Praying the new week has greeted you kindly and that the rest of the week is the same. Blessings. Michele!
And I’m so glad the old has gone and the new has come, Mary! What a gift we have in this life–not just at Christmas time–to unwrap the Lord Jesus’ love for each one of us each day. Thanks for your stirring words, my friend. I hope this Sunday finds you snuggled in tight with the Lord’s goodness and love!
I love that the gift of our Savior is not just a one day a year gift. This is one that after we have received it is ours to unwrap and treasure everyday of the year.
My Sunday was almost 70 degrees outside so there was no snuggling. Hoping the weather gets colder before Xmas. Love and hugs!
Amen, Mary! The embrace of love and forgiveness is taken to another level when Christ’s love reigns in our hearts. I love how you’re sharing your story, nestled in the context of HIStory, which is really all of “our” story. Sabbath blessings, my friend.
May we all choose the story God so lovingly planned for us before we were born. HIStory is the one I want to live in my own life. Blessings as we being a new week and get closer to the gift that is ours to receive on Christmas. Hugs!
