As a child growing up, when things were not going right or life became too overwhelming, I always wanted to hear my parents say “you’re going to be okay”. Those simple words had a way to make everything seem better because the two people I looked up to most, believed in me and helped me to believe in myself that it was going to be okay.
Last summer, I read Holley Gerth’s book, You’re Going to be Okay-Encouraging Truth Your Heart Needs to Hear Especially on the Hard Days, and once again I felt a reassurance and a safety net in her words as I soaked in truths that were written just for me. I read Holley’s book at a time when I needed to hear those words to get me through challenges in my life and pull me through to the other side. Even as I was going back through the book now, I could feel the same peace that wrapped its way around me during the first reading of the book.
My friend Barbie is celebrating her 7 year Blogiversary and birthday and I am thrilled to be giving away one copy of Holley Gerth’s book, You’re Going to Be Okay. Follow me over there to say congratulations and to join in the celebration. So glad you are here today.
