Is it possible to not only be brave right where we are at this time in our lives, but also give thanks for the gift of present circumstances?  Can we enjoy our here and now as the plan God has placed in our lives?
Today, as we continue to look at brave faith, let’s rejoice that God has us in this place, at this time for our good and His. May we take the ordinary routines of our lives and give them back to God in joy and thanksgiving. We were made to be His and as His children we are asked to build His kingdom in our present and future.
33 But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well. 34 Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own. Matthew 6:33-34

These verses from Matthew remind us to seek God’s kingdom first in everything and then the worries of our life will worry about themselves. Let’s work bravely for God’s kingdom today and everyday knowing that where we are is where God’s presence is found.
Let’s be brave along the way!

Seek first His kingdom, pretty straight forward, isn’t it! Oh, how often I fail to do so and then wonder why things fall into chaos! May we all bravely rest in Him today. Sabbath blessings, friend!
Chaos is the center of who we are until we allow God to take over. I am forgetful and need forgiveness time after time, but God is willing to to take us back when we forget. May we all seek His Kingdom in everything we do and say. Blessings!
Love THIS: “Is it possible to not only be brave right where we are at this time in our lives, but also give thanks for the gift of present circumstances? Can we enjoy our here and now as the plan God has placed in our lives?”
Thank you! I know when I try to answer those questions it is not as easy as I think. Being in a waiting period myself, I struggle with frustration in the waiting as well as impatience. I need to just give thanks that God has chosen me for this place and this time. Hope your weekend is blessed.
Recognising where and how we are situated and giving thanks in spite of the challenge of our circumstances is a real gift of grace. Thank you for this lovely reminder to witness the extraordinary in our ordinary and God’s (often invisible to us) hand at work in the still, silent waiting places where we long to hear from Him as we yearn for change to happen. Bless you, Mary. This series is really opening my eyes more to the glory and the brave of the everyday.
I have been in prayer this weekend with an expectant heart open to hearing from God. I am learning that He will speak when He is ready and not just because I made a little space in my day. Being able to give thanks through the waiting and knowing that He has me where He wants me is not easy to do. Only God can fully prepare my heart so that everything else falls into place. Blessings!
I pray He will do that for you, Mary. Our willingness to hear is the first step in preparing to listen well. May you have a prepared, receptive heart to receive words of affirmation from the Lord in due time. Enjoy the rest of your weekend! 🙂 x
Thank you for stopping back here to pray for me and remind me of His beautiful sovereignty. Blessings!
Mary, I love the way God directs our paths to the words we need. I’ve been missing a lot of the 31 days of writing, but today I read your words and am encouraged on the path of gratitude. Choosing thankfulness opens my eyes to God’s blessings!
Thankfulness has a way of taking the spotlight off of ourselves and pointing it toward God. Ann Voskamp has done a beautiful job with teaching us the importance of thankfulness in our lives. Loved having you here today! Blessings!
