When Life Feels Hard

When your life is moving ahead without you and you struggle to keep up – look to Jesus to even out the bumpiness and winding paths. Think about the following phrases and how you can turn them around.

When…

1. Life is hard  say – I trust in you Lord to provide strength.

“Be still, and know that I am God.
I will be exalted among the nations,
I will be exalted in the earth!” Psalm 46:10

When…

2. Life is frustrating say – I trust in you Lord to provide clarity.

Wait patiently for the Lord!
Wait confidently for him!
Do not fret over the apparent success of a sinner,
a man who carries out wicked schemes!
Do not be angry and frustrated!
Do not fret! That only leads to trouble! Psalm 37:7-8

When…

3. Life is tiring say – I trust in you Lord to provide energy.

28 Don’t you know? Haven’t you heard?
The Lord is the everlasting God;
    he created all the world.
He never grows tired or weary.
    No one understands his thoughts.
29 He strengthens those who are weak and tired.
30 Even those who are young grow weak;
    young people can fall exhausted.
31 But those who trust in the Lord for help
    will find their strength renewed.
They will rise on wings like eagles;
    they will run and not get weary;
    they will walk and not grow weak.  Isaiah 40:28-31 GNT

When…

4. Life is scary say – I trust in you Lord to provide courage.

So be strong and courageous! Do not be afraid and do not panic before them. For the Lord your God will personally go ahead of you. He will neither fail you nor abandon you.” Deuteronomy 31:6

Hold these verses close today and know that God hears you. Micah says in 7:7: “Therefore I will look to the Lord; I will wait for the God of my salvation; my God will hear”.

Today I leave you with some uplifting words by Sarah Young from Jesus Calling: “I am the creator of the entire universe, yet I choose to make my humble home in your heart.” Open your heart today to Jesus and enjoy the blessings!
