The Dawn
I love the slow waking up dance of the sky
The stretch of fingertips of colors across the horizon
The yawn opening wide, unleashing gentle pinks, warm oranges and soft yellows
The dawn of dusky blue blossoming into a brilliance that is graced by the brightness of the sun
The waking up of the world ready to embrace the day.
May your day be a dawning of vibrant colors and an expectancy of all the day will bring. May you hold open your arms to accept the joy that will be yours when you embrace God. May the first words of your day be thanks for all that you have been given.

Hi Mary! This is such a good reminder to really embrace the day that I’ve been given. I’d be lying if I said I always do that. There are times that I dread the coming day’s activities, or the sadness of friends and family who are sick or facing trials.
But I have to embrace good and bad all together because it’s the will of God for me, for my loved ones. As the sky lightens, and the day rouses from darkness, I should too. Put away any darkness and let that light in.
